FAQ
Do I need a special license to drive a RV or campervan in Japan?
A: No — your regular license is enough, plus one document: an International Driving Permit (IDP, 1949 Geneva Convention) for visitors from the US and most countries, or an official Japanese translation of your license for visitors from Taiwan. Bring your passport and all original documents on pickup day.
Where can we sleep overnight — and is it safe?
A: Japan is one of the safest countries in the world for campervan travel. Stay at RV parks, campgrounds, and roadside stations that allow overnight parking — we’ll share our recommended spots along your route, including seaside locations on the Shimanami Kaido.
Is there a toilet or shower on board?
A: No — and in Japan, you won’t miss them. Spotless restrooms are everywhere, and bathing at an onsen (hot spring) becomes one of the highlights of your trip. We’ll recommend the best ones along your route.
How many people can sleep in your campervans?
A: The Compact Campervan sleeps 2 adults (up to 4 with the pop-up roof — great for kids). The Family Campervan sleeps 4–5 with a full-flat bed plus built-in bunk beds.
How do pickup and return work?
A: Both are at our office, 5 minutes from Hiroshima Airport, with free airport transfer both ways. Land, meet us at arrivals, and you’re on the road in no time.
